The people are so scared that they want to claim asylum in Canada.

There’s nothing you can tell me that would change my mind. I don’t think I’m overreacting. I receive submissions every day from people because they share the same sentiment. It’s not just one type of person. Disabled people, black people, people with autism, trans people, and any other person who doesn’t fit into the America that Trump is creating.

Asylum claims at the Quebec border are surging. What we know so far is refreshing to hear as an American. All of their asylum claims get due process. We are tracking on specific asylum case from a family who claimed asylum at the Canadian border with no passport.

Pierre Poilievre said that if asylum seekers were “true refugees,” and they are in danger abroad, and they follow the proper rules, then asylum seekers should be able to stay. But if they’re a fraudster, then they have to go.

It’s important that if you are considering asylum, remember that they will grant you a trial, but they don’t guarantee asylum. You will need proof of why you are feeling persecuted. You must remember that you are asking another country to take you in, be as prepared, polite, and respectful as possible. Canada does not owe you anything.

What is important is that there are open lines of communication between the United States and Canada, and immigration patterns.
